I hear from my sources that they're actually seeming to put some concerted and ... attentive (for lack of a better word) effort into 1) minimizing the number of layoffs, and 2) making sure the cuts make <i>sense</i> this time. But yeah, it still sucks. It's really weird to work somewhere now where, as the school year starts up, I'm <i>not</i> automatically thinking of it as "layoff season". … Ugh.

I hear from my sources that they’re actually seeming to put some concerted and … attentive (for lack of a better word) effort into 1) minimizing the number of layoffs, and 2) making sure the cuts make sense this time.

But yeah, it still sucks.
