March 2006

Just the other day, I heard the following story: A young guy is having his taxes prepared. While the tax professional was preparing his taxes and going through the forms, he notices a 1099INT from a bank. When he gets ready to report the interest, the gentlemen said that he needed to talk to the bank about the form because he never saw the money. Basically, the bank form was reporting the interest earned from a CD that had matured. The taxpayer renewed the CD with the interest. He thought that he didn’t have to pay taxes on it since he never touched the money. Wouldn’t that be nice!

Just wanted to shout HURRAY!!!! because I’ve just completed my mid-term exams at Liberty University. Last week was a very stressful week studying for these mid-term exams. I’m glad that it’s finally over. Only four more weeks before finals are here.

This weekend we attended a wedding from our dear friend’s daughter. The wedding and reception was very beautiful. It was neat to see a lot of friends that we had not seen for years. It was shocking to see a little girl that I taught back in Cubbies and she is now 14 years old and is now taller than me. I know that’s not hard to do but still shocking. Even the boys are starting to look like little adults. On the way home, we were thinking of how weird it felt to see our daughter’s friends starting to get married. This is only the beginning. I believe there is another wedding this summer. I think we are reaching another phase in life.

This day started off wonderful. We had a half day of school today and the weather is just beautiful–I’m sure in the mid 70s. I’m at home enjoying this weather in the back yard. Just me and my fuzzy.
